Manifesto

Issue 1 is a venue for image and text at its most and least architectural. Here we engage projects at their interdisciplinary crossroads, and give each piece its own plot to propagate. Fecund considers all works afforded the ultimate decadence—time spent. We do not value minimalism as a virtue, but we’re not afraid of it either.

We view abundance as occurrence, and strive to indulge developing works and transitional aesthetics as well as fully conceived projects. We are not interested in finality or an erasure of process.

Paying contributors for their work is Fecund’s key responsibility, and we reject the glamourization of starving artist. That said, we are committed to fostering the fantasy of self-actualization in its myriad manifestations.
