This video uses the structure of a classic vintage workout video and turns it on its head by dowsing it in bright, pink, creamy Pepto Bismol. We use the company’s branding for the product: “Nausea, Heartburn, Indigestion, Upset Stomach, Diarrhea” to shape their commentary on femininity and patriarchal standards of women as well as the male gaze. This low-fi video exists only inside of itself and nowhere else; it is stuck in an infinite loop symbolizing the ongoing issues and problems women face everyday in a misogynistic society.
